Probably Stolen Lower Levels

Run the counter nobody else wants.

A lock-up on the fortieth sublevel. Rent climbs every week. Everything on the shelf fell off a truck, and the customer across the counter might not be a person.

A fan-made browser homage to Probably Stolen. Not the official game.

Play Probably Stolen in your browser

You do not need a download to play Probably Stolen in your browser here. This page is a free fan remake you can play online: it runs the whole shop loop in a tab, saves locally, and works on a phone.

To be clear, this is not a port and not the official game. The official Probably Stolen is a Windows game on Steam. This is a smaller, original browser game inspired by it — same genre, different code, art and writing.

How Probably Stolen plays in a browser

Thirty in-game days. One counter. Three to five people a day.

Unlock the counter

Pick a specialization and a difficulty. You start with a shelf, a licence, and a landlord who already knows your name.

Work the counter

Some customers sell. Some buy. A few are testing whether you will take the bait. Every action costs time, credits, or patience.

Read the tells

A mismatched uniform. A pupil that does not dilate. A name badge with no name. The tells are real, and they are not proof.

Pay rent

Rent comes out of the till before anything else. What is left buys stock, licences, or a slightly better week.

Open

What you actually do

Inspect

Pay for a closer look. Each pass reveals one thing the tag does not say: a grade, a filed serial, a contamination seal.

Haggle

Reputation is leverage. Push a seller down or a buyer up, but patience is finite and some customers do not negotiate.

Report, or look away

Security pays for clean tips. So do the people you inform on. A report without evidence costs you Reputation.

Draw

One kind of customer folds into static when you put a round through it. Guess wrong and Security owns your week.

Fan-made

What this is, plainly

Probably Stolen is an unofficial fan-made browser homage to Probably Stolen, with original code, art, sound, and writing. It is not a copy of that game and contains none of its assets. If you want the real thing, buy it on Steam.

FAQ

Probably Stolen: browser questions

Is this the official Probably Stolen game?

No. Probably Stolen is an unofficial fan project made by players; it is not the official game and is not affiliated with its creators. Probably Stolen is developed by Questing Goose Studio and published by tinyBuild; the official release is on Steam.

Do I need to own the original to play?

No. Probably Stolen runs entirely in your browser with its own rules, items, characters, factions, and art. It is an original work in the same genre, not a port, and it contains no assets from the official game.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The counter is built for a 360-pixel-wide screen and works with touch or a keyboard. On desktop, keys 1 to 7 run the seven actions.

Where is my progress stored?

In this browser, using localStorage. There is no account and no server. You can wipe the save from the game settings at any time.

How long is one run?

Thirty in-game days across six weeks. A day is three to five customers, so a full run is a sitting rather than a campaign. Losing is part of it: the rent clock is designed to outrun bad habits.

What is different from the official game?

Everything in Probably Stolen is written for Probably Stolen: the item table, the archetypes, the factions, the economy, the events, the endings. It borrows genre grammar — a counter, suspicious stock, a rent clock — and nothing else. The official game has far more scenarios, systems and content than a browser project can carry.

Can you play Probably Stolen in a browser?

The official Probably Stolen is a Windows game sold on Steam, and there is no official browser version. This page is an unofficial fan remake inspired by it: it is playable in a browser, but it is a different, much smaller game, not a port.

Not sure how the tells work?

The field notes explain what each tell usually means, how Security heat triggers inspections, and why looking away is sometimes the profitable move.
